Studio Wildcard revealed at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) that “Ark Survival Evolved” will be leaving the Early Access program of Steam. It is not like it is a bad thing, as it only means that the game is finally launching a full version soon. With all the hype building up around the title, there is no doubt that all eyes are on the developers.
The titular survival game “Ark Survival Evolved” is confirmed to make its first official debut come August. Interestingly, way before the studio announced the big news at the aforementioned event, most fans have actually thought of it becoming a reality this year.
This was all due to the fact that the video game company has been releasing updates after updates, which somehow signals the completion of the title.
Developers to introduce HDR support
It has always been a debate within the community if new, surprising features will arrive at the game. Among the cherry of these topics is the implementation of HDR support. As a matter of fact, this is happening, as confirmed by Studio Wildcard’s very own Jesse Rapczak. The latter is basically the Co-Founder and the Co-Creative Director of the game. So, in a sense, anything he says (about the title, of course) is true.
Rapczak iterated that it has always been their desire to implement the aforesaid support feature in “Ark Survival Evolved.” He even believes that HDR is meant to be utilized for video games, not just on 3D TVs or even the 4Ks.
The game, in particular, is an HDR title. The studio just reportedly tones the map and/or settings to fit with the Standard Dynamic Range or SDR (developed for the non-HDR displays). Interestingly, the support feature will be activated on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One S and Xbox One X. The executive did not really explicitly include Windows PC, but he is certain that his team will find a way to do so.
A little background about the official mod Ragnarok
Ragnarok first came into existence as a mod in “Ark Survival Evolved.” Apparently, Studio Wildcard saw the potential of it becoming an official mod in the game; hence it was confirmed to arrive. This was all made possible thanks to the success of the video game company’s Sponsored Mods program.
It is where players get the chance to win exciting rewards and bonuses just by developing mods worthy of appreciation.
The aforementioned mod in “Ark Survival Evolved” is slated to go live come July 4, just in time for Independence Day. It will be made available via an update, and players will have to join a certain server so as to load the new map. On the PC platform, gamers can acquire as a downloadable content from the official Steam page of the title.
