The Coronavirus [VIDEO] has been causing a lot of anxiety, stress, worries, and panic for many people across the world. But there are ways to minimize it from getting worse and to minimize the stress surrounding it. Things would be a lot easier if people were following what the people on the news are saying. The fact of the matter is that people are not taking this pandemic very seriously and that is the problem. It is not to say that we should be freaking out about it but we should be mindful about it and be following the right procedures, regulations, and advice. Here are 5 things you shouldn't be doing during this pandemic.
Panicking!
Although it is hard to not panic the worst thing you can do is freak out and panic during this time. Think about it...when did panicking, freaking out or stressing out about something make it any better? Never! It is important to remain calm and follow the right procedures in order to prevent yourself from getting the virus. Panicking only causes us more anxiety and stress surrounding the virus. It is also important to remember while you shouldn't freakout however you are feeling is valid.
Hanging out with friends
Although this is certainly a time when you would want to be around your friends it is best not to go visit your friends. If we are going to practice social distancing that means staying home and only going out when it is essential such as to go buy groceries. People are making the mistake of going to friends' houses and this is a big no-no. There will be lots of time to go visit friends once this pandemic is all over.
Going out when you're sick
Even if you don't have the Corona Virus but you are feeling sick you should still be staying home and resting. Be smart and stay home and don't spread germs. Why would you want to get other people sick? The worst thing you can do is go out or to work sick. Staying home is the best and smartest thing to do during this pandemic.
Reading and watching too much about the virus
While you want to be informed about what is going on with the virus you shouldn't be spending all your time reading about it. This will only increase your panic and worry about it. You are going to put yourself into a state of constant fear and this isn't healthy. Take this time to relax, read, write, and do things at home you have been wanting to do but you've been too busy prior to this pandemic.
Overstocking on items
Many of us are aware of the lack of toilet paper in stores and this is absolutely ridiculous. Stop overstocking on items where it is leaving others without any toilet paper. During this time we need to consider the needs of others including the elderly and those who are disabled. It is not only selfish but not fair to be going on a rampage leaving the elderly and disabled not able to go to stores. Be considerate of everyone and stop panicking. There will be no shortage of items.
