The 2019 Oscars ceremony arrived on Sunday (February 24) with the stars out to celebrate Hollywood's best performances and work over the past year. Among the big winners for the night were "Green Book" and "Black Panther" as each captured multiple awards. Here's a look at the five winners in the annual awards show's biggest categories.
'Green Book' - Best Picture winner
In what may have been a surprising win, "Green Book" took home Best Picture on Sunday night. "Roma" was the slight favorite heading into the big awards show. Its director claimed the prize for Best Director and then "Green Book" stunned many people by claiming the night's final award.

Rami Malek - Best Actor Winner
Malek wowed audiences and critics with his performance as the Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury in "Bohemian Rhapsody." He can now add the Oscar to his trophies alongside his Emmy for TV's "Mr. Robot."

Olivia Colman - Best Actress winner
Colman picked up her first Oscar win for her role as Queen Anne in "The Favourite." She proceeded to give a speech which delighted the crowd with jokes, truth, and inspiration about her path to the film industry and life in general.

Maharsera Ali - Best Supporting Actor winner
Ali is now 2-for-2 in terms of his Best Supporting Actor wins. He was nominated in 2016 for "Moonlight" and took that trophy. On Sunday night, he picked up his second for his role in "Green Book."

Regina King claimed the night's first big prize for her role in "If Beale Street Could Talk." She adds her first Oscar to her Golden Globe and three Emmy statues.
