WWE Raw Results: Top 5 stories from Monday, October 1 show

At the top of "Raw," Dean Ambrose was confronted by "Raw" head honcho Baron Corbin. He gave Ambrose three match options: a title shot vs Reigns, a title shot vs Rollins, or a match with Braun Strowman. Ambrose tried to choose option No. 4 - a match with Corbin, but instead was booked to take on Braun. The match saw the big man dominate, with Reigns rushing in to cause a DQ in an attempt to save his Shield buddy.

Each of Ambrose's Shield brothers squared off against individuals involved in their upcoming six-man tag team match at Super Show-Down. Reigns took on one half of the tag team champs in Dolph Ziggler. As expected, the Universal Champion was able to get the win. He hit one spear late for a near fall, with Ziggler getting a roll up for a near fall of his own. Moments later, Reigns connects with a second spear to put Ziggler down for the pinfall.

In the late part of this match, Rollins hit a buckle bomb across the ring. Seth prepared to stomp his foot for a big kick, but Ziggler's music hit. As Dolph rushed the ring, Rollins went at him, but missed. With Rollins' attention turned away, Drew was able to hit the Claymore Kick to get the pinfall win. Post-match, Ziggler, Strowman, Reigns, and Ambrose rushed in for a fight. However, the team of Braun, Dolph, and Drew proved too much, as they put The Shield down with moves to stand tall.

In Ronda's latest match, she took on the leader of the Riott Squad, Ruby Riott. The Bella Twins watched from ringside and helped prevent Liv and Sarah from interfering. Just days ahead of a six woman tag team match at Super Show Down, Rousey was able to block a Riott Kick, fight Sarah Logan off the apron, and then hit a Rousey Buster. An arm bar sealed the deal to make Riott tap out.

The main segment was a fantastic, hype-building promo. HBK talked about being in HHH's corner at the Super Show-Down matchup versus Undertaker. He warned Kane about getting involved, which caused Kane to show up in the ring. After a right hand punch, things went dark, and Undertaker appeared in the ring. He went for a Tombstone Piledriver, but HHH rushed down. In the end, Taker and Kane won the battle, putting DX down with a double choke slam. Taker also hit a Tombstone Piledriver on HHH.
