5 things we learned about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse from the new trailer

The newest trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse taught us quite a bit, including who else will be in it.

It won't only have Spider-Men

One of the older characters in the Spider-verse is actually not a person at all. Spider-Ham will make an appearance in this film. He had his own comic back in the 1990s, making him one of the first non-Peter Parker Spider-characters around. It turns out the backstory for this character is that he was a spider that got bitten by a radioactive talking pig.

It will have Noir touches

Spider-Man Noir will be voiced by Nick Cage and comes from an entire universe that has a noir touch to it. This character is especially interesting because he got his powers through a magical totem, rather than radioactive bites. In Marvel history, there have been two Spider-Man Noir series, both four issues long.

Spider-Girl gets an appearance as well

While not exactly beloved by some on Twitter, we also found out that Peni Parker is going to be in "Into the Spider-Verse." This character first made her appearance in "Edge of the Spider-Verse." Instead of having super power, she drives a mech suit her father created.

There are tributes to the Sam Raimi's vision

The man who helped to drive the live of Spider-Man on the big screen, before it had to be rebooted a couple of times is getting an homage in "Into the Spider-Verse" There are several scenes that debuted in Raimi's "Spider-Man" films, including the iconic kiss and Peter having to stop a run away train.

Gwen Stacy has spidey powers too

There is one version of the Spider-Verse that has gifted Gwen Stacy some powers of her own as well. She'll be making an appearance in "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" alongside the other new characters as well as Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
