Artificial Intelligence is already here. It's already part of our everyday lives, in areas we're both aware of and completely ignorant of, such as manufacturing. There's no reversing its rise. AI isn't as scary as movies and TV shows make it seem sometimes, though. "I, Robot," for instance, paints a dire picture for the future of humanity. Detailing a different picture may be the trick people need to embrace the technology, at least a hair more.

Here are four benefits artificial intelligence provides.

Increased efficiency

Companies and people are always looking for ways to become more efficient.

Increased efficiency leads to more revenue, plain and simple. Artificial intelligence can help people make more analytically-driven and desirable decisions on a variety of levels, increasing efficiency. It can also help determine the best ways to produce or manufacture products, deploy resources, and facilitate growth opportunities.

Stronger economy

There's plenty of overlap between each of these categories. As efficiency increases, people and companies will become more profitable. That will boost global economic growth as humans and machines learn to work alongside one another. Jobs will be different, but they won't necessarily be less. Instead, there will be a pairing between human and machine that creates the most productive work environment imaginable -- or at least that artificial intelligence can imagine.

Medical developments

Artificial intelligence may be our best chance at finding a cure for cancer, or reversing the effects of Alzheimer's, or various other medical breakthroughs we desperately need. Humans have spent decades experimenting and testing, making some progress, but not finding a cure. New technology may grant us the ability to alter the human condition for the better.

Nobody would turn down that opportunity.

Social justice

This is probably the hardest benefit to foresee at this point. Part of it will be a redistribution of resources. If there's increased efficiency and less hours at the workplace, people can spend more time fighting for the justice they believe in. But that artificial intelligence can also help mankind find the most logical solutions to our own social ills.

It will then be up to humans to determine if the machines created a solution that's possible to implement at this point in history.

The way we interact with our world is changing. Artificial intelligence can be our ally for the future if we use it correctly.
