Elon Musk the CEO of SpaceX launched his own Tesla Roadster into space on 6 February 2018. Falcon Heavy is the world’s largest operational rocket which was founded by Elon Musk. After few hours of his rocket launch, Elon Musk tweeted that his electric sports car and “Starman” - the test dummy in the driver’s seat had moderately overshot.
According to the CEO of SpaceX, the path of Tesla Roadster exceeded Mars orbit and is now moving towards the Asteroid Belt. The Starman’s journey was streaming live for few hours with the help of cameras mounted on that electric car.

NASA helped in giving updated information regarding Tesla’s position
According to Pearson's website, the position of the Tesla Roadster is now over 3 million kilometers from earth (over 1.8miles).
This information was found by using the data from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Musk tweeted the path of Tesla Roadster is not towards the asteroid belt but it is actually going a little beyond the orbit of Mars. After launching the Tesla Roadster into space, Pearson started finding out the actual position of the car but his calculation does not match with Musk's statement.
He later felt relieved to know that the calculation which he made wasn't wrong. So this information proved that Elon Musk was wrong. However, the accurate position of Roadster in space was released by NASA. Pearson was trying to find out a way to keep the NASA's data on his website to track the real-time position of the car.
Pearson has paved a way to track Tesla's path till the very end of 2020. The most exciting news is that his website will receive a notification when or if it finally reaches Mars.
