Becoming” is the name of the Memoir of former first lady Michelle Obama. It is being published by Penguin and is scheduled to be released on November 13 soon after the 2018 midterm elections.

Los Angeles Times reports that Michelle and former President Obama had concluded an agreement with Penguin Random House for their respective memoirs and "Becoming" is expected to reveal hitherto unknown aspects of her life. It will be released by the Crown Publishing Group which is a division of Penguin Random House.

The memoir of Michelle Obama is expected throw light on how she reached the pinnacle of success and landed up in the White House.

Becoming” is basically about the travel through the life of Michelle, a girl from the South Side of Chicago, who wanted to change the world and empower others. The opportunity came her way once she became the first lady and she wants her book to inspire others. She wants to pass on a message that they must not lose hope but find the courage to withstand pressure.

The memoir will be published simultaneously in multiple languages, and she wants to promote the book not only in America but also overseas. It seems there will be an audio version which she will narrate.

Her publisher Crown has said that she was the first African-American to become the first lady of the United States of America. She has always been trying to improve a lot of women and girls not only in the country but also around the world.

The book could be an eye-opener

Michelle Obama has seen life from close quarters beginning with her childhood in Chicago and ending in the White House. She came from a humble background and could bond quite easily with others. That gave her a chance to interact and work with people from all walks of life and go from strength to strength to fulfill her duties.

She was the first lady of America, wife of Barack Obama and mother to her daughters Malia and Sasha.

Her book “Becoming” is not her first. She already has one on gardening titled "American Grown" published in 2012.

First ladies of America have penned their memoirs earlier. Laura Bush had her "Spoken from the Heart" while Hillary Rodham Clinton wrote “Living History." However, the expectations for Michelle’s forthcoming book are high because she is admired all over the world. She struck a perfect balance between her responsibilities, and her well-wishers would love to know the secret of her success.
