The latest episode “Eastwatch” of “Game of Thrones” season 7 confirmed so many things about the series. Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster Waldau) was last seen drowning in the waters of the west after they were attacked by Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) and the Dothrakis.
The fans were surprised when the fifth episode started with the scene of a peaceful water disturbed by Bronn and Jaime as they emerged from it alive and well.
Jaime was initially thought to be dead because he might be incapable of going out of the water by himself. This merely because of his missing limb and his body was covered with a heavy armor.
Bronn rescues Jaime once again
Bronn (Jerome Flynn), has been known to save Jaime for many times now, and he did it again in the last episode. With the kind of bravery that the man has shown, it is nothing but fair that he demands to get paid. As seen from the previous episode, Jaime has already paid Bronn but it was inadequate.
It can be recalled from the last episode “The Spoils of War” that Jaime tried to attack Daenerys in her unprotected state when he had a chance.
However, Drogon (Daenery’s largest dragon) was even quicker in protecting his mother. Luckily, Bronn was able to drag Jaime from sure fiery death, submerging him into the deep water.
But after rescuing Jaime, Bronn sarcastically tells the brother of the queen that he must not die yet because of his debt. He also added that it could only either be killing him or he must not die at all. The conversation was fluent despite their heavy breathings as they have just emerged from the water. The two decided to go back to Kingslanding and relay how the attack happened.
Jaime and Tyrion Lannister meets again
With the help of Bronn, Jaime and his dwarf brother Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) meets again. Bronn misleads Jaime that they have to practice in order to prepare him for the bigger battle that they were about to face.
The “Kingslayer” was curious why they have to do the training in the underground.
While they were walking dragon’s remains were all over the place. But when they have come far enough, Tyrion appears from the dark with Jaime’s face painted with anger and dismay.
The two Lannisters then talked like how they supposed to. Jaime taunts Tyrion about her position in the war as Daenery’s hand. He says that no matter what happens, Cersei is still part of the House Lannisters. Tyrion then rebuts saying that Cersei tried to kill him. Their conversation then ended with Jaime’s affirmation to the favor that Tyrion came to ask.
