Justin Bieber has had his fair share of negative headlines, detailing his Bad Behavior and run-ins with the law. Though the music artist has tried to steer clear of negative press, the Government of China has banned Justin from performing for several months -- meaning that the singer won’t be able to perform in China for the time being, until something changes. When his fans demanded an explanation of why Justin was not allowed to play in China, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture shared their comments on their official website.

China cites Bieber’s bad behavior and attitude

According to Variety, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture expressed the hope that the singer would improve his behavior and earn back the love of his fans. Justin Bieber has been involved in a lot of controversies, but he changed his lifestyle after realizing his mistakes.

“We sympathize with your feelings. Justin Bieber is a controversial foreign idol, and his inappropriate manner has caused public discontent," the Chinese authorities revealed. In 2016, the singer walked out of a few concerts in China because a lot of fans were not listening to him. In November 2016, The Washington Post reported that Justin was stopped from screaming in the hall.

To regulate the market order of show business in China and purify the market environment, it was decided that certain performers would be banned from performing in the country.

Will the singer change his ways?

Justin Bieber was expected to perform in China by the end of this month. A report by The Guardian revealed that Justin’s Asian leg would still continue, including stops in Indonesia, Singapore, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Bangladesh.

Some other artists that have had been banned in China are Miley Cyrus, Oasis, Bob Dylan, and Jay-Z.

Hollywood actor Brad Pitt was banned in China thanks to his work on “Seven Years in Tibet,” a movie that the Chinese government was not a fan of. The Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture claimed that the ban was necessary as it would purify the country’s entertainment industry.

However, fans of Justin Bieber should not worry, as the ban is not permanent. The officials clarified that if the “Sorrysinger showed good behavior, they would allow him to perform in China by the end of this year.
