As we get closer to the release date of December 15, more and more information and promotional material continue to trickle out. On Saturday, July 22, we got a new image for the movie, featuring Finn, Rose, and Rey. This picture is one of the best looks we’ve had at Kelly Marie Tran as Rose Tico.

A report by Inverse reveals that Rose is a member of the Resistance group who works in the maintenance department. She is said to be a hard-working, brave, and dedicated girl.

John Boyega appears as Finn, who is a former stormtrooper of the First Order, while Daisy Ridley can be seen as Rey. Rey is a sensitive scavenger from the desert Jakku. She joins the Resistance group and tries her best to find Luke Skywalker.

The new movie poster tells a lot about ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi.'

Following the red motif of the first teaser trailer, the new poster showcases the major characters in crimson attire that matches the film’s logo. The upper portions of the faces of Finn, Rey, and Rose are cut off, creating excitement among fans. The poster was posted on official social media right after the presentation at the Disney's Live Action panel this Saturday. This poster tells a lot about the characters of Mark Hamill as Luke, Carrie Fisher as Leia, Adam Driver as Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe, Lupita Nyong'o as Kanata, and Kelly Marie Tran as Rose.

According to Screen Rant, the story will begin immediately after the last few scenes of “The Force Awakens.” Earlier this year, Variety reported that before her death in December 2016, Carrie Fisher was contracted to play a role in “Episode IX.” LucasFilm has already announced that no one else is going to play Carrie’s part in the new movie so it will be interesting to see how they write out Princess Leia.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is one of the most anticipated American films to date. It is written and directed by Rian Johnson.

“The Last Jedi” is the ninth installment in the “Star Wars” film franchise, following last year's “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story,” Disney announced the project after its acquisition of Lucasfilm in November 2012. “The Last Jedi” will swing into theaters on December 15, 2017. A sequel, “Star Wars: Episode IX,” is in the works and will hit global cinemas in May 2019.
