It is understandable that celebrities want to be treated special, but some of the rich and famous have made some demands that ranged from strange to ridiculous. While Mariah Carey is usually in the news for making diva demands, there are others who have also made them.

Kanye West

Rapper Kanye West sweats a lot while performing. According to reliable reports, he will not use a tissue or a regular towel to wipe the sweat from his face. He will use only Versace towels that cost about $400 each. He demands plenty of Versace towels available just for his use whenever he performs.

In 2013, he was a guest on BBC's "Later with Jools Holland Show." He refused to record his segment because he claimed the carpet in his dressing room was too bumpy, and he wouldn't do what he was invited to do until the carpet was ironed and all bumps removed.

Beyonce

Beyonce refuses to perform unless she has red toilet paper in her private bathroom. During her "Mrs. Carter" tour, the Daily Star reported that the bizarre bathroom request was just one of her demands. It seemed the pop star also insisted that all crew members wear 100 percent cotton. She wanted alkaline water to be chilled to 21 degrees and $900 titanium straws provided. She also wanted hand-carved ice balls made after each show to cool her throat.

Paris Hilton

In 2010, Paris Hilton made a cameo in "The Other Guys" starring Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell. It required only one day of work, but Hilton had a three-page list of demands. She wanted live lobsters prepared for her and a bottle of Grey Goose vodka available. The irony is that her cameo scene was cut from the movie for a reason not related to her demands.

Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga has made some bizarre requests when she performs. She once requested 28 bottles of water at room temperature and 28 bottles of cold water. She requested white leather couches in her dressing room, as well as a mannequin with puffy pink pubic hair.

Cher

Cher has been in the music business for a long time, and she has had some strange demands along the way.

Among the strangest ones is having a separate dressing room for all her wigs and hairpieces during her "Living Proof: The Farewell Tour" from 2002 to 2005. She also insisted on using only black cups. Aloe Vera tissues were to be given to her in cube-shaped boxes.

Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey was in the news recently for making outrageous demands when she had a cameo in Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell's movie "The House" -- to be released on June 29, 2017. She was to appear in only one scene to sing one song. She demanded that her trailer be filled with white roses and lots of stuffed animals, and they all had to be white lambs.

In 2005, she arrived at the Baglioni Hotel in London at 2 a.m., but wouldn't go in until they rolled out a red carpet lined with white candles for her entrance. The hotel agreed because she rented 15 rooms for her group that cost $20,000 each night. Throughout her career, Mariah has made other requests, and many of them have been honored.
