Some people argue that there are big sins and little Sins. To God, sin is sin. The Bible says a lot about sin, but it can be summarized to mean doing what God prohibits. That is called sin of commission. It is also not doing what God commands. That is the sin of omission. Here are some sins that are overlooked that are also included on the list of deadly sins.

Procrastination

If people knew Procrastination was a sin, they wouldn't put things off for tomorrow what they could do today. April 15 every year is proof that people procrastinate when some taxpayers scramble to complete their tax forms. Procrastination is simply delaying or postponing an action until a later time.

Complacency

Complacency is defined as being satisfied with things as they are even when they are wrong. It is doing nothing when something should be done. It is keeping silent when something needs to be said. Complacency is staying put when getting up and doing something should be the better option.

Laziness

Laziness is simply being inactive and refusing to work. Interestingly, laziness invites other sins, including procrastination and complacency. It has been proven that a lazy person is not inactive in only one area of his or her life. He is lazy in almost all areas. Even though it is up to individuals not to be lazy, the blessings of society have contributed much to it. For example, there is no reason to get up to change the television channel because the remote is at a person's fingertips.

Gluttony

Gluttony should not be limited to the over indulgence of only food and drink. Gluttony can be described as overdoing anything, such as shopping, watching television, playing video games, and an indulgence in an abundance of sex.

Gluttony is different from Greed, but they are related. Greed is the act of accumulating too many things that could lead to hoarding.

Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy is the act of a person pretending to be someone he or she is not. Jesus criticized hypocrites who did things for the wrong reasons just to get attention. The Bible has a lot to say about hypocrites, and it is not good. People who are themselves are not hypocrites.

Jealousy

Jealousy describes someone’s resentment toward what somebody else has. The words envy and covetousness are related to jealousy. However, jealousy is the umbrella under which the other two fall.

Envy is resentment toward what someone else owns. Covetousness is a strong desire to possess something that someone else has.

"Thy shall not covet" is one of the Ten Commandments. To summarize, covetousness is having a burning desire for what someone else has, and envy is resenting the person for having it.

Gossip

Gossip is spreading rumors about someone. It is bad to listen to gossip because if nobody listened, then the gossip would stop in its tracks. Also, when a person listens to gossip, it negatively affects his relationship with the person being gossiped about.
