#Apple released the iOS 11 #Beta 2 last Wednesday afternoon. Apple users can now experience its improved applications and new features.

Safety First for iOS 11 Beta 2

The first one is #Do Not Disturb While Driving. With the increasing numbers of car accident nowadays, this feature could save many lives. Craig Federighi, the Apple Senior Vice President of Software Engineering said: “When you’re driving, you don’t need to respond to these kind (sic) of messages. In fact, you don’t need to see them”.

The mode can detect if the handset is in the car and will limit the notifications while on the road. The user must connect the device to a hands-free device or in the car’s Bluetooth to receive incoming calls.

There are two ways on how to activate this mode. Go to the Settings and enabled the Do Not Disturb (DND) for manual activation or connect the device to the car’s Bluetooth system. In this feature, the person who sent the message will receive an automated response saying, “I’m driving with Do Not Disturb turned on. I’ll see your message when I get where I’m going.” If the message is an emergency, there will be a second automated response saying, “If this is urgent, reply ‘urgent’ to send a notification through with your original message.”

Other exciting features to experience

There is also the improved Control Center included in the update. In this feature, it can now disconnect the device’s Bluetooth connection paired with others without turning off the Wi-Fi toggle. Also, Control Center’s ability to disable the Swipe To Open function is also part of the second beta.
