The biggest story to hover over the head of Donald Trump has been the allegations that he's been in cahoots with Russia since the early days of the 2016 presidential election. While the president has denied the claims against him, some in the right-wing media are coming to his defense, including Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Hannity on Twitter

Over the last two years, Donald Trump has made many enemies in the media. When Trump first kicked off his campaign for president back in June 2015, he labeled illegal immigrants from Mexico as "rapists" and "murderers." Following his speech, the majority of the mainstream media were quick to hit back at the former host of "The Apprentice," which has only escalated ever since.

Since his election win over Hillary Clinton last November, Trump has lashed out at the press on a routine basis, labeling any reports he disagrees with as "fake news." With the Russian scandal heating up and the investigation into the Kremlin continuing, a select few in the right-wing media have defended him on an almost daily basis. One name that has gone out of his way to stand up for the president has been Sean Hannity. Whether it's on his Fox News show or his radio program, Hannity has defended Trump regardless of the information and evidence that is released. As seen in a series of tweets on June 25, Hannity is taking his support of the president to another level on social media.

Taking to his Twitter account on Sunday, Sean Hannity stood by Donald Trump by attacking the opposition.

Following CNN's recent retraction of a false story linking a Trump associate to Russia, Hannity was quick to celebrate, labeling the network "FAKE FAKE NEWS." In a follow-up post, Hannity referred to CNN President Jeff Zucker as the "Leader of Very FAKE NEWS."

In his defense of Julian Assange, Sean Hannity praised the WikiLeaks founder for "exposing" the "deep state" opposition to Donald Trump.

"He has exposed we have zero cyber security, corruption and fixing a primary at the DNC, and deep state abuse of power and misuse of Intel," Hannity posted. Following Trump's earlier tweet accusing Hillary Clinton of colluding with the DNC against Bernie Sanders in the Democratic Primary, Hannity doubled down. "Yes. They lied, cheated, colluded, fixed and rigged a primary.

Finally! And if @JulianAssange says NOT Russia, maybe honest Dems leaked?" he wrote.

Not stopping there, Sean Hannity posted an article that suggested that the Obama administration ignored warning signs that Russia hacked the election, before claiming the former president was colluding with Vladimir Putin. "Why was Obama "colluding" with Putin?," Hannity added.

Moving forward

While Sean Hannity and others in the right-wing media continue to support Donald Trump, the president has been backed into a corner over a variety of issues. Though the Russian investigation is a pressing issue, the commander in chief is also dealing with the backlash to his health care bill that is stuck in the Senate.
