UMIDIGI, the Shenzhen-based company, has offered alternative smartphones for the likes of Apple and Samsung. The company, on March 27, will release an entry-level smartphone called the UMIDIGI A1 Pro.

The UMIDIGI A1 Pro comes with the Android OS and with a 13-megapixel camera resolution. In addition, the front camera is 5-megapixel that comes with dual-LED flash and AF rear camera.

UMIDIGI specs and features

The phone, for starters, will go on sale for $99.

The size of the screen is 5.5 inches, which includes a 5-inch comfortable grip.

Elsewhere, the display ratio of the A1 Pro is 18:9. The material is made out of a glass-like rear and is a more robust material for the unintentional drops on rough surfaces.

For a basic model, the smartphone will come loaded with features that are available in more expensive models like Apple's iPhone X. The UMIDIGI touch-screen device will have Face ID. That is right the feature comes on this model and tailored for consumer-oriented buyers.

Other features include the dual 4G LTE network and powered by a 3 GB Ram powered MT6739 for optimal performance. Of course, it does not come equipped with wireless charging but has a Type-C 5V-2A for quick charging.

The UMIDIGI A1 Pro comes in the following colors: Moonlight Silver, Icy Blue, and Pitch Dark. The company teased in a YouTube video below a free giveaway of the phone. The contest runs until April 10 and one lucky participant will receive the handheld device for free.

The UMIDIGI smartphone comes with a non-removable battery (3,200) mAh lithium-ion.

Some other noteworthy features are the accelerometer, ambient light, fingerprint scanner that is mounted on the backside of the phone.

Technical features of the A1 Pro

As previously mentioned, more details will be released once the smartphone goes on sale.

A PDevice technical analysis looked at the phone's capabilities of several categories.

The score out of 10 is 7.6. When it came to body and design look it got a solid 8 out of 10. Furthermore, camera quality was also scored of 8 out of 10 once again.

The gadget's performance was rated 8 out of 10 and the value for money 8 out of 10. The phone's cellular network capacity and connectivity got 8 out of 10. Very user-friendly interface that includes battery backup.

The areas with a lower score of 7 out of 10 were available features, call quality and internet, display design, and multimedia.
