Samsung began this year with a blast, as it unveiled its flagship smartphone Galaxy S9 at the annual MWC event that took place in Barcelona. The South-Korean technology giant then went on to introduce several mid-range smartphones including J7 and J7 Pro. Now, the firm is expected to introduce the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone on August 23. The company is not even finished with this unveiling, but there are already rumors regarding next year’s Galaxy S9 smartphone.
The latest report regarding the Galaxy S9 device is a concept-based handset created on the basis of possible speculations. In the concept, one can see the device sporting not two, but four cameras clubbed with a stunning 4K Display as well.
Specs and features
According to several reports, the device showcased through the video can be seen sporting a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display panel with 2,160 x 3,840 pixels resolution. The smartphone can also be seen carrying a fingerprint scanner, which comes integrated under-the-display. The smartphone packs a rather bezel-less display, the kind that is seen in the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones.
The device can be seen donning rounded edges, along with an iris scanner as well. If this turns out to be true, then the smartphone will be a real stealer as it comes packed with both, the fingerprint scanner as well as the iris scanner.
Apart from this, the smartphone can be seen sporting a dual rear as well as front camera – which is what makes things perfect. The information provided along with the video suggests that the smartphone is speculated to sport 16-megapixel rear sensors accompanied with a dual-LED flash. In terms of dimensions, the handset measures 148.9 x 68.1 x 8mm. No other information apart from what is mentioned above has surfaced online, however; the above-given details cannot be taken as being completely true either as the company hasn’t confirmed it.
Note 8 release
Meanwhile, Samsung is preparing the launch of its Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. There is immense pressure on the South Korean giant to outperform and revive its glory lost last year due to its predecessor, Galaxy Note 7’s fiasco caused by the battery explosions. The smartphone is expected to come accompanied with the company’s stylus S Pen, along with a taller than usual display and a dual rear camera setup. The device is going to be among the priciest offerings made by Samsung till date and is expected to be introduced on 23rd August.
