Huawei-backed Honor branding is expected to introduce its 2017 flagship smartphone called Honor 9. While the company hasn’t provided many details regarding the upcoming smartphone, the endless leaks and speculations keep giving the consumers a clue as to what can be expected from the upcoming device. The latest in the bunch of already prevailing rumors is the one that claims that the upcoming Honor 9 smartphone is going to come in three primary color variants, namely Yellow, Red, and Orange. It seems like the technology giant has decided to take a new turn when it comes to introducing new colors.

They seem to adopt a youthful, bright range of colors to spark a trend through the means of their smartphones.

Leaks and rumors of the device

The latest leak emerged on the official Chinese social media platform, Weibo. It did come across as a surprise when this speculation was spotted online, and it also seems unbelievable. Previously, Honor 9 smartphone’s official render had been posted on the internet, however; the smartphone packed a Blue color. However, on the basis of the quality of these images, it seems like the latest leak might not be authentic by nature. The smartphone that appears in the images, seems to have its color bleeding into the camera sensors. This clearly goes on to suggest that the smartphone might be hampered with, or maybe the device in the image is fake.

Given that Honor hasn’t provided any confirmation regarding the same, it is best that the latest bunch of leaks be taken with a grain of salt and nothing else.

Features and specs of the phone

Although, it does remain undeniable that Honor had been planning on introducing a new color lineup with its popular smartphones since very long, however, whether they’d be opting for classic colors or colors that haven’t been explored before, is something that remains unknown.

The upcoming Honor 9 smartphone is expected to be introduced during the official annual IFA event, scheduled to take place in Berlin, starting August 30. As far as the specifications of the upcoming smartphone are concerned, the device is expected to feature a 5.15-inch display with 1,080 pixels resolution and will most probably be powered by the Kirin 960 chipset.

On the storage front, the device is expected to offer 4GB of RAM alongside 64GB of internal storage. The device might sport a dual rear camera setup with a 20-megapixel and 12-megapixel rear sensors along with an 8-megapixel front shooter as well. The smartphone is expected to run on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.
