HMD Global-backed nokia has had a brilliant beginning this year, thanks to the launch of the multiple smartphones. However, it doesn’t appear like the company is done with the launches as yet. The company is further expected to introduce a range of other smartphones including its high-end Nokia 8 and 9 devices. Most of the times, ahead of any major smartphone launches, leaks and rumors regarding the same emerge online.
On the similar line, speculations regarding the Nokia 8 device have been posted online by an anonymous source.
The smartphone is spotted online
As reported by Indian Express, the upcoming Nokia 8 smartphone with model-number TA-1004, was reportedly spotted on a German website, WinFuture. With the model-number, several hardware and software specifications have also been revealed alongside the same. Previously, it was reported that the smartphone will Nokia will be introducing the aforementioned smartphone sometime in the second half of 2017.
However, it seems like the launch will take place earlier than expected.
Apart from this, the latest leak has even indicated the number of major specifications that the smartphone is scheduled to come with. According to the report, the upcoming Nokia 8 smartphone will come powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC. This enables the smartphone to fall in the high-end category and in competition with other major smartphones including Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus devices.
Cutting-edge technology
Additionally, the rumored Nokia 8 device is also expected to pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage as well. Furthermore, the aforementioned smartphone will also come with support for a dual-SIM setting. The alleged device will most probably be provided in four color variants namely Blue, Steel, Gold with a mixture of Blue and Gold with a mixture of Copper.
As per the latest specification, the smartphone will be available for purchase, starting July 31. The base price of the upcoming smartphone will be around 589 Euros. If this turns out to be true, then the device will fall in direct competition with other high-end smartphones including Apple’s iPhone 8 as well. No other additional information regarding the upcoming smartphone has been revealed either.
On the basis of the earlier leaks, the upcoming Nokia 8 smartphone will probably be packed with a 5.7-inch QUAD-HD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. On the camera front, the upcoming smartphone will sport a dual rear camera set-up with 13MP sensors. However, the company hasn’t confirmed any of the news details as yet. Therefore, the alleged Nokia 8 device remains a mystery as of now.
