For the first time in the history of “Star Wars” video games, gamers will have the chance to see the Empire’s point of view. In “Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Inferno Squad", new characters will be introduced along with a new storyline that is said to be “untold and canon.”

Here, players will take the role of the elite Inferno Squadron’s leader Iden. The game’s narrative will pick-up where the “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” ended and the human soldier will decide to take revenge for the fallen Emperor.

The gameplay

Now, EA has released the details of “Star Wars: Battlefront 2 Inferno Squad” on its official website and the group's position in the game.

Inferno Squad, also known as Inferno Squadron, is a special operations unit of the Imperial Navy. They are equally trained to be Starfighter pilots and the best commandos. They, too, are deeply committed to the rule of law.

The Inferno Squad is the Imperial’s counter defense against the Rebel Alliance. They are fearless and invisible. They attack their opponents unnoticed and then fade back to black to the darkness of deep space. As the players start the story of the first-/third-person shooter video game, they will be defending the Empire in its final hour. In spite of the defeat, Iden along with her Inferno Squad vowed to keep the Empire and its origin alive.

A game for the fans of the dark side

Moreover, the Inferno Squad is going to cross the galaxy while on board the Imperial Raider Corvus. They will be traveling to a place where their expertise and talents are most needed. In the game, they will be taken face to face with some of the New Republic’s most known heroes along with the dark side’s main threatening agents.

Although most of the start systems have been slipping off the Empire's dying grip, the Inferno Squad is still doing their best to fulfill the orders that the Emperor left them. While they are dealing with their mission, they are set to make difficult decisions while facing various challenges that are far from what they thought.

However, even if the pieces of the broken Death Star II are floating in space, they still believe that the Empire will succeed.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2” will be released in November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Pre-orders are now ongoing and the game enthusiasts can choose between the game’s standard version and a Deluxe Edition, which will allow them to play earlier than its scheduled release. The title’s early access is also now available to EA Access members for $10.
