When the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus was released, the Samsung Exynos 8895 was also introduced to the market. The chip is the first 10nm FinFET SoC created by the South Korean tech giant and is running under the hood of the company's flagship device. With the recent speculations surrounding the re-launch of the infamous Samsung Galaxy Note 7, analysts are predicting that the device will be re-released with top specs and features to in a way, eradicate the negative image it has created in the past. A recent leak making rounds on the Internet further provided support for this latest claim.

Benchmarking scores

A recent benchmarking score was leaked online revealing two varying scores referring to the Exynos 8895 and Exynos 8890 chipsets. It can be seen that the model indicated in the benchmark scores is that of SM-N935S. While Geekbench scores and smartphone model names can be easily altered it is quite surprising to see a Samsung smartphone in the benchmark. If these leaked scores turned out to be accurate, then it appears that the South Korean tech giant is gearing up to launch a more powerful comeback for the Note 7.

Aside from that, the listing shows a variant of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 7 running on Exynos 8890 SoC. The device has an octa-core CPU and 4GB of RAM. These specifications are actually what the previous Note 7 model was made of.

The scores reveal that the single-core test scores 1939. On the other hand, the multi-core test scores 6093. The second variant as illustrated in the benchmark score has Exynos 8895 SoC running under its hood. In other words, if we base on this scores, the South Korean tech giant is developing multiple options for the upcoming device.

Speculated specs and features

According to several sources, the soon to be relaunched device will have a smaller battery with a battery life of only 3,200mAh much smaller to the previous 3,500mAh released previously. It is worth noting that the company previously made a statement that they will improve the device given its faulty battery.

The company's CEO Kho was even quoted saying that they will release a more safe and much-improved device soon. Moreover, the device is said to run on Android 7.0 out of the box.

Aside from the battery pack and battery life, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is said to maintain its old design. In other words, it will still have the 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display. The resolution would still be 1440 x 2560 QHD. In addition, the device will have an internal memory of 64 GB. Another anticipated feature for the device is the embedded fingerprint sensor in the home button. It will also have the IP68 certification, the device protection against dust and water damage.
