Microsoft is scheduled to hold an event in China on Monday, May 23, where fans from all over the world are anticipating the release of Surface Pro, the successor of Windows 10-powered 2-in-1 Surface Pro 4. However, we may not have to wait that long as some the alleged press renders of Surface Pro have leaked online courtesy of tipster Evan Blass. The alleged press renders - whose authenticity is circumspect -- shows the device, along with its additional accessories from all angles.
Press renders leaked
Although many are expecting a May 23 release for the Surface Pro, just two weeks ago Microsoft clearly stated that it would not launch the Surface Pro 5 until “it can bring meaningful changes.” The revamped 2-in-1 model does not differ much from its previous iteration in terms of design. So, it can be safely assumed that the real changes lie under the hood of the device and users can expect to see an improvement in stability and performance in the refreshed version of the tablet cum laptop.
However, no information detailing the hardware specifications of the device were leaked online along with the press renders.
Nevertheless, the leaked images reveal the additional accessories that will be available with the new tablet. Microsoft fans can expect several accessories to come along with the successor of Surface Pro 4 which will include a pen and a keyboard. The accessories will be available in a choice of four colors. The accessories are designed a bit differently in comparison to the previous iteration’s accessories.
Surface Pro 4: features and specs
The device launched in 2015 and belongs to Microsoft’s fourth-generation Surface series 2-in-1 detachable laptops. The device comes equipped with Intel’s 6th Gen Core m3, i5 or i7 processor. In terms of internal storage, the laptop is available in four variants of 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB.
It comes in three RAM options i.e. 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB. The 12.3-inch detachable monitor comes with PixelSense Display touchscreen.
The laptop cum tablet sports a silver-colored Magnesium built chassis with physical power and volume buttons. The Surface Pen was included in the box as a free additional accessory. It has 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity on one end and an eraser on the other. The laptop is currently available in the market and also on Microsoft’s Online Store. Unfortunately only the Intel m3 and Intel i5 variants of the tablet cum laptop are available on the online store.
