"Ark: Survival Evolved" latest Update for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is live today. More exciting news are coming out of Studio Wildcard: on Tuesday, the two platforms were updated in connection with the latest PC update. Moreover, console tweaks were rolled out along with the Tuesday update: the game developer rolled out for console players the direct whistle command ability. In addition, the ability to conceal tamed dinosaur names was also integrated into the game. These latest additional abilities are essentially helpful in the game's overall performance.

Furthermore, hiding the names of tames for tribes who have massive numbers of creatures for breeding.

Volcanoes and TEK cave

The patch 257 has activated the volcanoes on the island map. Aside from that, it also removed the structures and tamed animals scattered surrounding the top. Moreover, the patch added lava and a mysterious cave entrance inside the volcano's mouth: this entrance will lead players to the ultimate TEK-themed boss cave. To be able to get on this stage, players must collect artefacts through winning battles with several bosses. In addition, survivors must also defeat other tough enemies, getting into the arena for the ultimate boss battle. Upon winning, players will be able to obtain the secrets of the ARK.

The cave can only accommodate a maximum of 10 players and 50 tamed dinosaurs at a time. The catch is, any tamed dinosaur that has entered the cave will never be able to leave. However, according to Jeremy Stieglitz, "ARK: Survival Evolved," lead designer, the end of the cave is currently incomplete and what players see right now is just a placeholder for the game's true ending.

Aside from those, the latest patch will feature Survivor Reset or most popularly known as free Mindwipe. Through this, players must maintain the same level until level 100 and must have all the stat and engram points refunded.

New dinosaurs will be added to the game: survivors will now get their hands on dinosaurs like the Giant Bee, Daeodon, Liopleurodon, and Kentrosaurus. Furthermore, new items will be introduced including the TEK Cloning Chamber, where players can have their favorite tamed creature cloned.
