The leaked image has listed the name of the device as “iPhone unknown,” with the model ID iPhone 10.6.
The image also suggests that the “iPhone unknown,” may feature the Apple A11 processor clocked at 2.74 GHz, and an L1 cache of 128KB, which is double to that of iPhone 7. The leak also highlighted that the handset might come pre-loaded with iOS 11.
The much-rumored iPhone may come with a screen resolution of 2,800 x 1,242 per the leaked GeekBench screenshot. This further suggests that the speculated device may feature an odd 20:2:9 aspect ratio, or even 2.25: 1. Is the leak authentic?
Since it is a screenshot, it cannot be confirmed as authentic, and it is best to take the rumor with a grain of salt.
One has to wait for the official GeekBench link to come to any conclusion. The rumored smartphone is expected to be released in September 2017.
Rumors suggest that there may be delays concerning the supply of the next-generation iPhone 8. The delay could be because of possible supply constraints and the inclusion of the fingerprint scanner, which Apple is allegedly trying to embed into the screen.
The iPhone 8 is expected to release alongside the iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. The premium smartphone will reportedly cost upwards of $1000 as per analysts. However, some experts assert that the inclusion of features such as an iris scanner may justify the higher price point.
