"Ark: Survival Evolved" still hasn't gotten a full release, but the developers of the future world survival game have been hard at work adding different things to the content all the time. This time around, a brand new content pack known as v255 landed just in time for players to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with huge upgrades to the way they can outfit their bases. Studio Wildcard says the new content is available to download on the Xbox One, PS4 and PC immediately and contains a veritable pot of gold of new TEK upgrades.
Upgrades includes forcefields for 'Ark: Survival Evolved
The focus of upgrade v255 is all the new TEK tier upgrades that players can make to their bases. The new patch brings a plethora of new TEK building structures, an impenetrable “TEK Forcefield”, and customizable “TEK Autodoors” to complete Survivor’s futuristic new bases.
"Ark: Survival Evolved" players have long been attempting to survive in a harsh world with a ton of crazy creatures. The TEK upgrades will make it a bit easier to get along in the world. The upgrades to the bases are the focus, but as the developers announced in their press release, it is hardly the only thing that "Survival Evolved" is getting in v255 content.
New creatures and appearance options for characters
The new "Ark" patch is also bringing four new creatures to the game. Electrophorus Beluadomito is a kind of Knifefish that zaps it's prey before it eats. The Microraptor Gnarilongus is a kind of birdlike creature that has a lizard face. This is one of the more aggressive predators in "Survival Evolved" that will immediately attack anything not a great deal bigger than it is.
Another addition is Ammonitina Multiamicus, which resembles a nautilus but is quite a bit bigger. Consider this a kind of predatory, massive whale. The most interesting thing about the creature is one bite and all neighboring sea creatures will attack it's prey. Finally, "Ark: Survival Evolved" includes the Thylacoleo Furtimorsus which is a marsupial lion.
