WWE wrestler and actor John Cena who is now concentrating on a Hollywood career has been doing a lot of Movies these days. His two latest projects have been announced and since the announcement, Cena is going viral on social media. The upcoming two big projects of Cena are the sequel of "Suicide Squad" by James Gunn and the latest part of the "Fast and Furious" franchise directed by Justin Lin. Cena has been a part of numerous movies before as well.
The year names of some of his movies are "Ready to Rumble" (2000), "The Marine" (2006), "12 Rounds" (2009), "Legendary" (2010), "Fred: The Movie" (2010), "The Reunion" (2011), "Fred 2: Night of the Living Fred" (2011), "Fred 3: Camp Fred" (2012), "Trainwreck" (2015), "Sisters" (2015), "Pazuzu" (2015), "Daddy's Home" (2015), "Daddy's Home 2" (2017), "The Wall" (2017), "Blocker" (2018),and "Bumblebee" (2018).
Cena will next be seen on the big screen in movie "Project X-Traction", alongside Jackie Chan. This movie is expected to hit the floors in summer 2019 in China. This movie was previously titled "Ex-Baghdad" which was later changed to "Project X-Traction". It is a Chinese-American action-adventure film directed by Scott Waugh starring Jackie Chan and John Cena.
The 'Suicide Squad 2'
According to variety.com, Cena will be seen in the “Suicide Squad” sequel. Earlier, wrestler-turned-actor, Dave Batista was supposed to take this role but he skipped it due to scheduling problem. Robbie is set to return as Harley Quinn and Jai Courtney is back as "Captain Boomerang". This role will be Cena's first comic book role.
The film is expected to release on August 6, 2021.
'Fast and Furious' franchise
WWE Superstar and actor John Cena will be featured in the next "Fast and Furious" movie. He was featured in an Instagram video from Vin Diesel in which Vin talked about his late friend and co-star Paul Walker. he always sends something great to him to give back to the fans.
It is not yet clear what kind of role he is going to play in this movie. Apart from this, Canadian actor Keanu Reeves ("Matrix" fame) is also expected to be seen in the movie as a lead villain. The movie is expected to release worldwide on May 22, 2020.
