The next big professional Wrestling pay-per-view will be WWE Survivor Series 2018. It follows the Crown Jewel event, recently held in Saudi Arabia, which received mixed reviews. A few matches have been announced, which has fans excited for what they may see in the ring at Survivor Series. There's also the WWE rumors regarding another Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker match creating some potential excitement. But plans could have changed.

Survivor Series format may have changed

In previous years, Survivor Series has consisted of the Raw vs SmackDown concept for the pay-per-view.

That included last year's event which saw a Raw team, led by Kurt Angle and Triple, going up against Shane McMahon's SmackDown team.

Reports indicated that this year could have a Team Angle (Raw) vs Team Corbin match, but Wrestle Zone says a reliable online source (@wrestlevotes) indicates Vince McMahon wants to move away from the concept, so it's "to be determined." A source said that Vince didn't want to have AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns at Survivor Series, but once Reigns' leukemia announcement came, that changed plans for the PPV.

Michaels vs Undertaker match

Another rumored match that had fans excited for the upcoming pay-per-view was Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker. The two have been featured in several WWE special events recently.

Those were WWE Super Showdown in Australia, which had Michaels at ringside for HHH vs Taker, and this past Friday's (November 2) WWE Crown Jewel over in Saudi Arabia. At the latter event, Michaels returned to the ring for the first time since he retired years ago.

Michaels was rumored to have said he could appear in the ring a few more times if "all went well" at Crown Jewel.

Unfortunately, it's unknown if that's the case. While D-Generation X captured a win in the Crown Jewel match results, it also featured Triple H suffering an unfortunate injury. With a torn pectoral muscle, The Game required surgery and won't be wrestling anytime soon. Michaels may not be interested in a match if his pal won't be ringside to get involved, so that could disappoint fans.

Survivor Series matches announced

With that said, several matches are known for Survivor Series 2018. They'll include the champion vs champion matches, which have a Raw superstar vs a SmackDown star. Those are WWE Raw Women's Champion Ronda Rousey vs SmackDown Women's Champion Becky Lynch, IC champion Seth Rollins vs United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura, and the WWE Champion AJ Styles in a rematch vs Universal Champion Brock Lesnar.

The WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view is scheduled for Sunday, November 18 on the WWE Network.
