On Friday, the BIG3 2018 results included one close win and three dominant victories on the four-game slate. The story of the night may have been the near-fight that occurred between Tri-State's Nate Robinson and Trilogy player Rashad McCants. The skirmish occurred after a rout by Robinson's club and an attempt to take away McCants' mask. In one of Friday's other BIG3 game results, Power closed out their game strong to rout the Ball Hogs.

Robinson makes a BIG3 debut, has near fight

Former NBA player Nate Robinson made his debut in the second season of the BIG3 league.

On Friday night, the former Chicago Bulls star was part of Tri-State's rout over Trilogy in Houston, Texas. Robinson hit two of the special four-point shots from the floor during the game. He'd finish with ten points, two assists, and a rebound in the effort. Teammate David Hawkins had 19 points, five boards, and four assists, while former NBA star Jermaine O'Neal chipped in 12 points and hauled in three rebounds.

The Tri-State team would go on to win in dominant fashion, 51-34 over Trilogy. However, Clutch Sports reported that there was a near-fight as part of the game's aftermath. Robinson's shot was considered the game-winner for his squad based on BIG3 leagues.

After he drained the basket, he went over to the Trilogy bench and tried to grab McCants' mask. McCants wasn't having it though, and confronted Robinson, with the two nearly fighting. Other individuals intervened before anything too serious could go down.

Power runs away with game in second half

Another former NBA star, Corey Maggette, figured prominently in the other game on the slate.

Maggette tallied 17 points and nine boards in a big win for Power. The team finished the first half up by just two points over the Ball Hogs. However, the second half was all Power. They would score 25 points and held their opponents to just seven points for the remainder of the game. Ultimately, they grabbed a 51-31 win.

Other former NBA players Cuttino Mobley and Glen "Big Baby" Davis figured prominently in the box score for Power.

Mobley had 12 points and four boards, while Davis finished with 11 points and four rebounds. Quentin Richardson chipped in seven points along with grabbing eight rebounds.

For the losing side, DeShawn Stevenson led all Ball Hogs players with 17 points and four rebounds. None of his teammates scored in double digits, with Andre Owens' eight points the closest total. Next Friday, the Ball Hogs get to try to even their record at 1-1 as they take on Tri-State. They'll just need to watch out for antics from Nate Robinson.
