We witnessed an incredible, record-breaking game at Quicken Loans Arena last night (Feb. 7).LeBron James finished with 37 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds in 48 minutes, during a hard OT 140-138 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. He also passed Zydrunas Ilgauskas on Cavaliers career rebound list. A report by ESPN was used for the player quotes.

LeBron James hit the game-winning fade-away over Jimmy Butler, moments after blocking his potential game-winning shot with only 1.3 seconds left, and ended the Cleveland Cavaliers' eight-game Losing Streak on national television.

Is Cleveland turning things around?

We could say that the Cavaliers are ready to start their winning streak after this amazing win over the Timberwolves. LeBron said that although it was a good win, their record on a national television is still bad and they will try to change that.

Iman Shumpert, who is linked to some trade possibilities, sat out a game, along with Dwayne Wade, who played 22 minutes in Orlando.

J.R. Smith had a great game, ending up with 20 points and three rebounds, along with Isaiah Thomas, who scored 13 and assisted on seven buckets last night. But the thing that brought this win to the Cavs was LeBron’s game-winner and his triple-double.

Records were broken in this game

Andrew Wiggins became the sixth-youngest player in NBA history to score 6,000 points in his career.

At 22 years old, only LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Tracy McGrady, and Kobe Bryant were younger than him.

LeBron James joined Kevin Garnet and Michael Jordan as a franchise leader in points, rebounds, and assists. He said that he is blessed to play this game at a high level for a long time. Also, LeBron is approaching Wilt Chamberlain on an all-time career triple-double list.

And only Kobe Bryant and Joe Johnson have more game-winning buzzer-beaters in their career than James.

The two teams combined for 40 three-pointers, to break an NBA record for the most threes in a game. The last record was set by Golden State Warriors and Dallas Mavericks on March 25, 2016.

Timberwolves played great

Karl-Anthony Towns had an amazing night, finishing with 30 points and 10 rebounds.

Jimmy Butler joined him to end with 35 points, five rebounds, six assists, and two steals. Butler is having a great season with the Timberwolves, averaging 22.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game. He went toe-to-toe with LeBron James, who sank a game-winner in his face. But it was LeBron who stole the show. Butler had a well-rounded stat line too, as he remains one of the top players in a league.
