The new orleans Pelicans are going all in to make the playoffs next season. Today they faced the Chicago Bulls in their first preseason game. Rajon Rondo, DeMarcus Cousins, and Anthony Davis each played a total of 30 minutes but it was still not enough to defeat the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls played a complete team game with eight players scoring in double digits.
Anthony Davis records a double-double
Anthony Davis played 33 minutes in today's game against the Chicago Bulls. Despite the New Orleans Pelicans losing Davis still played a great game. Anthony Davis contributed 24 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
He shot 40 percent from the field making six of his 15 field goal attempts and hitting 11 of his 14 free throw attempts. Anthony Davis has expressed his desire for the Pelicans to win and also expressed how much he loves to play in New Orleans.
DeMarcus Cousins plays solid game
Along with Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins also recorded a double-double in tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls. He scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out five assists, got two steals, and rejected one shot. He shot 54.5 percent from the field making six of his 11 shots from the field and making seven of his nine free throw attempts in 32 minutes of gameplay. Today's game against the Chicago Bulls showed that Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins can co-exist with both of them recording a 20-10 night.
Rajon Rondo dishes out eight assists
Rajon Rondo was acquired this offseason by the New Orleans Pelicans to become their primary catalyst, and that's what he did in tonight's game against the Chicago Bulls. Rondo contributed five points, five rebounds and he was able to dish out eight assists along with two steals. Going into the regular season, the Pelicans look very scary once the team can build up chemistry.
Cristiano Felicio and Nikola Mirotic shines in today's game
Felicio was remarkable in tonight's game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He leads the Chicago Bulls in points with 15 along with five rebounds, and two assists. He shot an amazing 75 percent from the field making six of his eight field goal attempts and making all three of his free throws.
Mirotic also played a solid game tonight contributing 14 points, nine rebounds, one assist, and one steal. He shot 33.3 percent from the field making four of his 12 shots from the field. The Chicago Bulls are looking to rebuild this season after letting go of Jimmy Butler a couple of months ago.
