On Monday's WWE "Raw" results from Boston, Massachusetts, the superstars were in action just six days before the big "SummerSlam 2017" PPV. That meant plenty of build up towards the latest pay-per-view, plus several huge matches. One of those matches featured a championship up for grabs, while another would determine who will face Alexa Bliss at Sunday's "SummerSlam" PPV. Here are all of the latest results from the Monday episode of "Raw" on August 14th.
Show results
In the "Raw" opening segment, fans finally were treated to what they've been waiting weeks and months to see.
Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose finally appeared to get on the same page. It didn't come easily, though, as the former Shield brothers got into a scuffle in the ring, trading punches on the mat. However, when the tag team champs Sheamus and Cesaro showed up to attack, it forced Ambrose and Rollins to work together again to clear the ring. After that, Ambrose extended his fist and Rollins did the same, putting their fists together. "Raw "GM Kurt Angle then arrived out to announce they would face Sheamus and Cesaro for the "Raw" tag titles on Sunday.
Sasha Banks was able to defeat Nia Jax to become new No. 1 contender for the "Raw" Women's Championship. Sasha put the Banks Statement on Nia Jax a few times, with one coming near the 15-minute mark to finally make Nia tap out.
The women's champion Alexa Bliss watched from a lifeguard style chair on the ramp with Sasha staring out at her after the win.
In a segment, Elias Samson did his song routine to talk trash about Boston. R-Truth came out to interrupt, but Samson attacked him and put him down with the Drift Away finisher.
In another backstage segment, The Miz, Maryse, Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas interrupted Kurt Angle's talk with The Hardys.
Angle ended up booking Jason Jordan to take on Axel tonight.
Big Cass came to the ring with the shark cage that Enzo will be in on Sunday in the ring. Enzo came out to interrupt the promo, and the two talked trash against one another. Enzo brought Big Show to the ringside area with him. Cass managed to take out Enzo when he got on the apron.
Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson showed up to help Cass get the upper hand on Big Show. They eventually wrapped a belt around Show's right hand and slammed the shark cage against it.
A WWE Cruiserweight Championship match hit "Raw" six days ahead of "SummerSlam." In shocking fashion, Akira Tozawa was able to bring the 197-day reign of Neville to an end and win the title for the first time. Tozawa avoided the Red Arrow late and then hit his own Senton Bomb off the corner for the pinfall win. The two will have a rematch at Sunday's "SummerSlam."
In another segment, Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt were booked to have their "SummerSlam" match early on tonight's show. In their bout, Balor had the upper hand late when he hit a running dropkick against the barricade.
Later, Wyatt managed to crotch Balor on the ropes and hit Sister Abigail for the pin. Post-match, Bray Wyatt turned it into a bloodbath when he poured a bucket of fake blood all over Balor in the ring to continue the mind games with his opponent this Sunday.
Mickie James defeated Emma via pinfall in a four-minute match. Mickie was able to hit a roundhouse kick at the end and got a pinfall.
There was a non-title match with Jason Jordan taking on The Miz. However, the Miztourage got involved and ran the numbers game on Jordan. He won by DQ, but The Hardys had to rush out and make a save. That set up a six-man tag match in which The Hardys and Jordan defeated Miz, Axel, and Bo Dallas in a match that went over 14 minutes.
Main segment
There wasn't a main event match on WWE "Raw" but instead a meeting of the four superstars involved in Sunday's Fatal 4-Way for the Universal Championship. Samoa Joe, Braun Strowman, Roman Reigns, and the current champion Brock Lesnar were all scheduled to meet face-to-face before their PPV match. "Raw" GM Kurt Angle arrived at the ring and introduced the reigning champion Brock Lesnar, who came out with his advocate Paul Heyman.
Heyman talked up the "conspiracy theory" where Angle is booking Brock in this sort of match against three competitors to try to strip him of the title. He said if that happens, he and Brock will leave WWE. He talked about each of the three opponents and made his case for why Brock will walk away as champion.

Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman came to the ring. Strowman talked about how he's always the "last man standing" but Joe told him that he was the one that put Reigns down last week, and Strowman was the man who barely stood up to win. Roman Reigns made his entrance next and after a brief pause got in the ring and speared Joe. Strowman put Reigns down with a power slam.
Brock and Braun stared at one another and security guards got involved. They beat up the guards, so Kurt Angle called for backup. Various superstars from backstage came to the ring to try to separate Brock and Braun. The two monsters eventually got some shots in on one another, but it was merely a teaser of what may be coming in the big Fatal 4-Way on Sunday.
