Reports are claiming that WWE “Monday Night Raw” wrestler Braun Strowman got into a loud argument with Global Force Wrestling executive consultant Karen Jarrett at a Memphis bar following the July 17 episode of “RAW.” If the rumors are true, the argument had Strowman acting rudely ward Jarrett and her son, but apologizing soon after when she threatened to tell his colleague, WWE “RAW” General Manager Kurt Angle, about the incident.
Strowman allegedly bad-mouthed Karen Jarrett's son at bar
According to a report from WrestleZone that cited the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the incident allegedly took place when Karen Jarrett approached Braun Strowman, asking the burly "Monday Night RAW” Superstar for an autograph for her son, who considers Braun to be one of his favorite wrestlers. As Strowman didn’t recognize Jarrett as the current wife of GFW founder Jeff Jarrett and the ex-wife of current “RAW" GM Kurt Angle, he purportedly made rude, profane comments at Karen.
Separately, Wrestling News cited the Voices of Wrestling Twitter account, whose sources claim that Braun had specifically uttered the words “f**k your son” to Karen Jarrett.
This set her off, as she reportedly went on a loud verbal tirade against Braun Strowman.
Braun apologized after the incident, but Jarrett wasn’t impressed
According to reports, Jarrett also reacted by threatening to tell her ex-husband Kurt Angle, the father of the boy asking for Strowman’s autograph. And once Braun realized that he had just insulted a prominent personality from WWE’s rival company GFW, and denied an autograph to the son of a “Monday Night RAW” colleague, he quickly begged for forgiveness, asking Jarrett not to tell Angle or other people about the incident, and promising to give the autograph.
Karen Jarrett, however, reportedly wasn’t impressed, as she still insisted on telling Angle.
This prompted Strowman to go down on his knees in front of multiple WWE colleagues, asking again for forgiveness. As WrestleZone noted, Jarrett told Strowman that he was only acting so contrite because he was afraid of getting in trouble with Angle, an on-air authority figure and recent inductee to WWE's Hall of Fame.
According to Wrestling News, some of the WWE wrestlers who had supposedly witnessed the argument between Strowman and Jarrett included Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, R-Truth, Bayley, Emma, and Sasha Banks. GFW wrestler James Storm was also present, as was former WWE Superstar Rey Mysterio, who has been rumored to be in discussions with GFW to sign with the company once his Lucha Underground contract comes up later this year.
