Pregnant Serena Williams showed that she is one of the greatest, if not the world’s greatest Tennis player of all-time when she won the Australian Open back in January. Just last week she also made her pregnancy announcement. What made the surprise even more surprising is that she continued to not only play but still dominate the game even while she was months along in her pregnancy. The tennis star's news was received by scores of adulated fans, who expressed their adulation for the new mommy-to-be.

The big baby on board news was even bigger than the surprise she posted on Reddit last year letting her fans know that she was engaged to Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit.

Williams had secretly dated the tech guru for a long time without anyone even realizing that the two were seeing each other.

Serena's baby: the heir apparent to the tennis throne

Last week on the social media platform SnapChat, while wearing a yellow bathing suit, she posted a very cute picture with the words 20 weeks. The captioned photo showed her very visible baby bump. Baby Ohanian will be the mega-star’s first child, and is already being branded as the new number one tennis player for the next generation. This indicates that the tennis star will be making sure to pass on not only her good genes but will also do everything in her power to make sure that the future tennis champion receives all the training he/she will need to carry on the Williams family tennis legacy.

Unborn child taught mom the meaning of serenity

Just when they thought the surprise was over, she sent fans something else on her social media page. This time she wrote a letter to her unborn child; Williams addressed her child with these words, "My Dearest Baby," then she went on to say that the child gave her strength that she did not know she had, and that her baby taught her the true meaning of serenity and peace.

She continued by saying she cannot wait to meet the child, who, according to the sports star, will be in the player's box next year. But most importantly, she continued, “I am so happy to share being number one in the world with you,” dropping a subtle hint that the post was on her fiancee's birthday when she added, "@alexisohanian bday."

Williams ended the message addressed to her unborn child by adding, "From the world's oldest number one to the world's youngest number one, - Your Mommy."
