It is almost time for WWE to announced the inductees for its 2017 Hall of Fame class, and it seems as if the first name has already leaked out. Even though it has not yet been made official, it appears as if a former three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion will take his rightful spot in the hall.

BANG - DDP to enter Hall

According to PW Insider, the very first inductee in the 2017 WWE Hall of Fame will be none other than Diamond Dallas Page. It is not yet known if he is going to be the headliner for the class, but if not, then it would have to be someone else quite huge.

Page is a former three-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, but that was far from the only title he won during his time in the company. He also captured the United States Championship twice, the TV Championship once, and the WCW World Tag Team titles on four occasions with three different partners. Upon heading to WWE (then WWF), Diamond Dallas Page was a one time European Champion and a one-time Tag Team Champion with Kanyon.

DDP's life since wrestling speaks for itself

Ever since leaving the wrestling ring, DDP has remained one of the most popular superstars with fans and other wrestlers. His DDP Yoga has helped millions around the world and he has even helped troubled stars such as Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Scott Hall.

Other names he has been able to offer help to are Big Van Vader and current "Monday Night Raw" General Manager Mick Foley.

Diamond Dallas Page has always been one of the most well-liked names in the wrestling business and WWE would do right by adding him into the Hall of Fame. The 2016 class was headlined by Sting and it would be very fitting to see another former WCW Champion headline the 2017 class.

It's also going to be interesting to see what other names could join DDP, but it will be hard to find anyone bigger.

The 2017 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on April 1, 2017, from Orlando, Florida. It will be just a part of the big-time weekend which will culminate with "WrestleMania 33" on Sunday night.
