There are almost four months to the day until "WrestleMania 33" takes place from Orlando, and WWE is already getting things in order. While there will be no matches officially confirmed and in place until after the "Royal Rumble," the rumors of big matches are heating up. No matter what is rumored right now, things can change as WWE has not officially announced any matches. Depending on storylines and injuries, a lot can and likely will change.
The Undertaker could main event for the WWE Championship
It was rumored to take place last year, but an injury to one of the big names scratched it.
This year, WWE is planning their "Legend vs. Legend" match for Orlando and it looks as if it could be for one of the major titles. At the "Royal Rumble," John Cena is taking on AJ Styles with the hope of winning the WWE Championship. If Cena does win it, he will break Ric Flair's record with a 16th World Title reign, but the bigger picture comes months later. If Cena wins the title and The Undertaker wins the rumble match, they would face-off in the main event of "WrestleMania 33." Not only would WWE get the big match they hoped for, but it would be made even bigger with the title on the line.
Shane McMahon to have yet another huge match
Last year after John Cena's injury took him out, The Undertaker was put inside Hell in a Cell against Shane McMahon.
This year, he may get another huge match against a huge opponent in Brock Lesnar. Shane-O-Mac is the current Commissioner of "SmackDown LIVE," but a storyline where he takes on Lesnar could be built up starting soon. They already had an interaction at "SummerSlam," where Lesnar delivered an F-5 to McMahon.
Payback may be on the horizon and WWE will want it to take place at "WrestleMania 33."
Two other big matches already rumored
Again, nothing is confirmed or officially set in place for "WrestleMania 33," but the rumors are flying. Last year, Shaquille O'Neal made a shocking appearance and now, WWE wants him in a match against the Big Show for the Orlando crowd.
Another match that is rumored to take place is Seth Rollins vs. his teacher and mentor, Triple H. This match was rumored to take place a number of times last year, but it never ended up happening. There are a lot of other rumors swirling around the WWE Universe right now for matches at "WrestleMania 33." Some of them include Roman Reigns and Randy Orton, and Shawn Michaels and AJ Styles, while there is even talk of The Rock having a match.
"WrestleMania 33" is going to be huge, and the city or Orlando is in for a big-time event. Now, if the rumors are true about some of these matches, it could be one of the biggest WWE pay-per-views of all-time.
