"Ozark" Season 3 is returning to Netflix with 10 episodes following Marty Byrde and his family's money laundering scheme. The upcoming season, which is currently filming, features exciting new cast members as the plot picks up where it left off in Season 2.

Netflix announced the renewal of "Ozark" for a third season in October last year. Jason Bateman reacted to the news on Twitter with a teaser: "I'm happy for me, but concerned for Marty." Filming for the new season began in late May, which is a strong indicator of the Netflix release date.

Season 3 of Ozark: When will Netflix release it?

Netflix has not announced an official release date for "Ozark" Season 3. However, production typically takes 6 months, which indicates a 2019 Fall season release date or the series may be delayed until 2020. Fans should expect the third season air in November later this year.

Skylar Gaertner, who plays Jonah Byrde on the series, gave fans a quick update of the upcoming season.

Fans have also noticed that the production crew have returned to the Byrde family house to shoot scenes.

New cast members

Fans will be seeing a lot more of Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery) as Deadline report that she has been promoted to a series regular along with Janet McTeer's Helen Pierce -- the mob lawyer.

Season 3 of "Ozark" adds "Iron Fist" alumni Tom Pelphrey and Jessica Frances Dukes as series regulars.

"Power" star Joseph Sikora, and Felix Solis will play reoccurring roles in the upcoming season. Pelphrey plays Wendy's brother Ben, who arrives at the Ozarks unannounced to confront Wendy on her past. Dukes plays an FBI agent looking to put Marty Byrde behind bars without breaking the law herself.

-- the son of the Kansas City mob boss. He will work with Ruth Langmore in the Casino operation and tension will build up between the two characters in Season 3.

Felix Solis joins the "Ozark" cast as Omar Navarro who is the ruthless leader of the second largest Mexican drug cartel. Deadline states that the Byrde family will encounter his violent nature and psychological mind games.

What to expect in Season 3

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, "Ozark" showrunner Chris Mundy revealed that Wendy and Marty will struggle with the power dynamic of their relationship. Mundy also revealed that the Byrdes will be "dealing with outside forces" in Season 3. Furthermore, Wendy's brother will bring a lot of drama due to his mental illness and Mundy described the character as destabilizing, which THR reports drew laughter from Bateman and Linney.

All episodes of Ozark are currently streaming on Netflix worldwide. Season 3 of "Ozark" is scheduled to be released later this year.
