"Fear the Walking Dead" returned with an action-packed, two-episode premiere for season 3. Fans were stunned when Travis Manawa was killed off unexpectedly during a helicopter ride after his heroic stance in the premiere episode. Season 3 of "Fear The Walking Dead" returns with episode 3 this week, and there is a teaser and trailer for the upcoming episode. The trailer teases Madison and Nick fighting off zombies with one character stating that the ranch is going down. Madison has already threatened to take over the ranch in a Rick Grimes-like fashion.

Troy Otto continues to be a source of conflict as he is seen starting a fight in the short teaser, which you can watch below.

'FTWD' release date and synopsis

Episode 3 has a release date of June 11, and it is titled: "TEOTWAWKI." The synopsis is as follows: "Still finding their place, Alicia and Nick fall in with new crowds while Madison discovers Otto's past mimics that of her own." Luciana Galvez seems to have regained consciousness as she is featured in the teaser. As with other communities in "The Walking Dead," it is unlikely that the ranch will become a home for the Clark family. Victor Strand seems to have ventured off on his own and got himself into some trouble. "FTWD" season 3 premiered with about 4.7 million viewers, which is an increase from the second season's finale.

The third series will feature 16 episodes and it has already been renewed for a fourth season, however, it will feature new showrunners.

Returning cast members in the third season

Many fans were shocked to find out that Daniel Salazar will be returning in a reoccurring role. Viewers never saw a body and it turns out that he is still alive.

Ofelia ventured off on her own partly because she was mourning her father's death. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how or if they meet each other in the Zombie apocalypse. In an interview with Comic Book, co-creator of "Fear the Walking Dead" confirms Daniel's return: "In my mind, he is not dead. What's important is that Ofelia thinks he's dead because that led to her run....my hope is we will figure out a way for Daniel Salazar to return, maybe in season three....He is not dead." We have seen Nick walk among the dead, which has hyped 'The Whisperers' appearing in the series.

Nick clearly prefers being among the dead as he states the living pose the biggest threat.

What do you think about the upcoming episode? Do you think any other main characters will die in this seasons?
