Soap Opera Spy recently polled viewers of "The Young and the Restless" regarding whether or not Kola would make it down the aisle. The overwhelming majority believe the couple will indeed say "I do," but even if the wedding takes place, it is not likely Kyle and Lola will last, because the deck is stacked against them. His soon-to-be ex-wife and her mother are going to be a constant annoyance, coming at them from different directions. Even if Summer were not in the picture, and Celeste Rosales was not headed to Genoa City, the writers made some blunders with the storyline and for that reason, Skyle devotees remain hopeful.

'Y&R' botched Kola with transplant storyline

Initially, "The Young and the Restless" portrayed Summer as the spoiled bougie Newman princess that she was. Kyle was carrying a torch for her but finally gave up when he met the sweet virginal Lola. Summer was the disgruntled ex who kept interfering, Ms. Rosales needed a kidney. When Skyle consummated their marriage, they shared some tender moments and the chemistry was strong. The couple began working together at Jabot and It looked as though Kyle was going to stay in the union. Once the transplant was complete, the script was flipped. Lola suddenly lost her values and went to bed with a married man and now has moved him into her apartment.

Kyle walked away from the creature comforts, and the perks of the only life he has ever known to slum it in an apartment over the coffee house.

Their comfy cozy love nest seems a bit forced and unnatural. Now Summer has been cast aside and Kola seems to have no remorse for how they treated her. Even so, "The Young and the Restless" has not given Skyle a clean break. Celeb Dirty Laundry indicates that s. Newman/Abbott will be frantic with worry because of her missing mother.

Spoilers say she will seek help from Jack and Nick and she may even ask her cheating husband for assistance in finding Phyllis.

Summer and Kyle have a deep connection on 'Y&R'

On Friday's episode of "Y&R" Summer overheard Kyle say he proposed to Lola and she seemed deeply hurt. She later admitted to Theo that she was not over her estranged spouse and he did not seem to care.

It looks like spoilers were wrong about a hot new romance which means the love triangle will continue. Summer might find a way to keep Kyle in the marriage because he did promise her one year. She may be carrying Kyle's baby, or find she is pregnant by Theo and pass the child off as her husband's. Spoilers indicate that Lola's mom Celeste will be a thorn in Kola's side which will only add to the tension.

Skyle have been in each other's blood since they were teens, have a strong connection and are cut from the same privileged Neman/Abbott cloth. Ms. Rosales was a breath of fresh air for Kyle after Summer slept with his uncle Billy, but this may change. Lola will probably get tired of her fiancee talking about his soon to be ex, making excuses for her behavior and always running to her rescue.
