WWE part-timer John Cena has officially joined "Fast and Furious 9". According to Deadline, Cena's role in the ninth chapter of this franchise will be "a badass."

Also, Dwayne Johnson will not be in the movie according to the website, and Dan Casey is writing its screenplay from a story by Justin Lin. Production is expected to start by the end of this month for the May 22, 2020 release. However, actor Vin Diesel already confirmed it in April through his Instagram post.

But it is now officially confirmed by Universal that Cena is in the star cast of the movie.

John Cena is one of the best wrestlers in the world. He has been a wrestler for almost two decades now. He made his debut in 2002 against the "WWE Hall of Famer" Kurt Angle and since then, achieved a lot in the world of Wrestling.

He is a 16-time world champion matching the record of "WWE Hall of Famer" Ric Flair.

He has carried titles such as United States Championship, WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, Money in the Bank briefcase and multiple Slammy Awards.

Cena has headlined several Wrestlemania matches facing legendary wrestlers such as The Rock, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker.

In his recent interview with TMZ, Cena admitted that retirement is something he's been thinking about lately as he's now 42-years-old. This news might not be good news for wrestling fans who are still waiting for Cena to return to the wrestling ring again. Cena's last appearance at Wrestlemania 35 as "Doctor of Thuganomics" was accepted very well by the WWE Universe. In fact, many wrestling fans are waiting for a heel version of John Cena in WWE.

But It is time for Cena to shine in Hollywood as he is receiving good movie offers these days, which includes films like the sequel of "Suicide Squad" and "Fast & Furious 9".

Cena will next be seen on the big screen in movie "Project X-Traction," alongside Jackie Chan. Cena is not the first wrestler to appear in the film.
