Tamra Judge reportedly feels bad that her on-again, off-again bestie, Vicki Gunvalson, has been demoted from a part-time cast member from her full-time housewife role on "The Real Housewives of Orange County." According to a February 13 report from Radar Online, Judge feels "really bad" for Gunvalson and the other women, aside from Gunvalson's nemesis Kelly Dodd, do as well.
Rumors about Gunvalson and her allegedly reduced role on "The Real Housewives of Orange County" began swirling online last week and during an appearance on Jeff Lewis' podcast series on Sirius XM radio, "Jeff Lewis Live," Dodd seemed to gloat about Gunvalson being demoted and told Lewis she was glad to see it happen.
She even said she would have done the same thing if she was in charge of casting decisions. Meanwhile, Gunvalson was said to be “absolutely crushed” by the decision.
Vicki Gunvalson is in negotiations with her 'RHOC' producers
Although Radar Online said Vicki Gunvalson is “in negotiations right now,” they also noted that she likely won't agree to return to the show in a part-time role after starring on the series in a full-time position for the past 13 seasons. Gunvalson has "been demoted, but she hasn’t agreed to take the offer,” a production insider explained to the outlet.
Why was she demoted from her full-time position?
According to the insider who spoke to Radar Online on Wednesday, Vicki Gunvalson "set herself up" for the demotion and was removed from her full-time role due to a number of things that have happened over the past couple of seasons of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." As fans will recall, Gunvalson stood by ex-boyfriend Brooks Ayers as he lied about his cancer diagnosis years ago and last year, she was seen accusing Kelly Dodd of using cocaine and being a bad parent during the reunion special of season 13.
When will a decision be made?
While it is hard to say for sure when fans will learn of what role Gunvalson will play during the show's 14th season, the Radar Online insider said that after Gunvalson and her boyfriend, Steve Lodge, return to the United States from The Bahamas, she will be forced to give her producers an answer in regard to whether or not she will be returning to the show part-time, or if she'll be leaving.
While a premiere date has not yet been set, the 14th season of "The Real Housewives of Orange County" is expected to return to Bravo TV later this year.
