After Denise confirmed their breakup in the season three finale and Zo confirmed it in the first episode of season four, things between Lonzo and Denise aren't getting any better after Denise's latest actions. Meanwhile JBA USA plays their first game since the benches-clearing brawl.

Next stop: Latvia

After playing two games in Lithuania and having a benches-clearing brawl, the JBA USA play their next game in Latvia. At the hotel room, Gelo and J-Ray talk about the situation between Lonzo and Denise as Gelo is Lonzo's brother. In the car, LaVar and Alan talk about the situation between Lonzo and Denise with Alan even pointing out that the Lakers are concerned for Zo.

At practice, Gelo was seen getting his ankle inspected by a trainer as his ankle was sore. LaVar also expressed the importance of taking care of their bodies to the JBA players at practice as they had the luxury of a trainer with them at that moment.

While in Latvia, LaVar and the JBA team found out that the team they were supposed to play in Poland cancelled on them as they didn't think the talent that the JBA team has would result in a competitive game for them.

Before the game, Gelo talked to Melo and told him to not let his emotions get the best of him and that he needed Melo on the court in order to do well. Going into the game, the JBA USA squad was looking to win their third game of the trip as their current record is two wins and three losses.

They ended up getting that third win as they beat BC Liepaja 131-118. Melo finished the game with 26 points, 14 assists, seven rebounds, seven steals and three turnovers. After the game, LaVar expected the team to go undefeated the rest of the way.

Post controversy

After calling Lonzo a "deadbeat dad" on Instagram Live, Denise sees Lonzo face-to-face for the first time.

When asked about what she did from Lonzo, at first she denied that he called him a deadbeat dad and then said that she said it out of emotion.

When asked about the situation between her and Zo, Denise said that she wouldn't tell how she feels about Lonzo as a dad. Lonzo said that he will try and be there for her and Zoey more often.

Denise said that she was nervous to see Zo's family for the first time after what happened. On the way to see Noni and Tina, Denise talked to her sister in the car and said that she wants to see his family so it doesn't seem like she's avoiding them. Everything turned out to be fine as the situation didn't even come up and both Tina and Noni said they both don't feel any different about Denise.

Next episode

After all "Ball in the Family" episodes, a preview is shown about the next episode. In episode five, which will air next Sunday on Facebook Watch, J-Ray says that everyone on the team is getting along and are close with each other. Tako explains how when he came to America, he was made fun of.

LaVar explains how the JBA is for people like Tako who have the talent but aren't seen which prompts LaVar to tell Tako that he has a chance at the NBA. Denise also says that she's considering moving to Los Angeles.
