The latest updates and spoilers for "Spider-Man: Far From Home" reveal another Spidey costume for Peter Parker in the movie. Several behind-the-scenes photos and videos of the film's set revealed the new costume of the web-slinger as Tom Holland is doing a scene with Zendaya.
There is also news of a petition made by Marvel fans to have former web-head Tobey Maguire have a cameo appearance in the sequel.
"Far From Home" will have Peter traveling to Europe with his friends, but his trip is in jeopardy when Mysterio steals a valuable tech from Stark Industries. Peter also needs to rediscover the hero within after losing his mentor, Tony Stark in the fourth "Avengers" film.
A new Spidey suit spotted
According to Screen Rant, the new Spider-Man costume was spotted during a BTS production scene in New York as Tom Holland suits up and did a stunt along with his co-star Zendaya. The new costume resembles his old Stark Suit, with the color scheme being red and black, similar to his first comic book appearance.
Another noticeable change is that his web shooters are now hidden in the suit, as supposed to wrist watches. He also has the white spider logo on his back similar to the "Spider-Man" PS4 video game. This will be Peter's second costume in the film, with the stealth suit being previously leaked online. Some comic book fans also compared Peter's new outfit to the "Superior Spider-Man" costume, when Doctor Octopus transferred his consciousness to Peter's body in the comics.
Fan petition for Tobey Maguire in the sequel
According to Cinema Blend, Marvel fans started a petition on Change.org to have former Spidey actor Tobey Maguire have a cameo in "Far From Home." The petition read that the scene will have him play a pizza delivery guy, which is one the many jobs that he did during the Movies.
Another fan also suggested that one of Maguire's customers is Andrew Garfield, who also played Spidey, in Marc Webb's take on the Marvel hero. The petition already had 85,000 signatures and looks to continue to make the trend.
It was previously reported that Peter will meet former S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury, who tries to help him find himself to stop Mysterio. Fury will mentor the web-slinger after Tony's demise and guides him to the right path the same way he did with the Avengers.
Fury's right-hand woman, Maria Hill, will also appear in the film. There are also new characters such as Jessica Drew, Chameleon, and Spencer and Alistair Smythe. The Spidey sequel will premiere in cinemas on July 9, 2019.
