Erin Krakow of “When Calls the Heart” is more than a Julliard-trained actress, with a long resume of credentials to her name, from “Army Wives” to her cherished portrayal of Elizabeth Thornton on the rugged Hallmark Channel drama set in the Northwest Territory. The accomplished star has proven the project fit for playing a teacher in “When Calls the Heart” and in her 2014 holiday film treat “A Cookie Cutter Christmas.” She has not only had to immerse herself in learning the techniques of a champion baker, able to earn the approval of the late Alan Thicke but also to let go of a long-standing, petty rivalry as an example to her students.

She assumed the challenge of playing actress-character, Miranda Chester, in her “Father Christmas” movie trilogy that culminates in a wedding this Christmas season. Krakow often sang beautiful harmonies with former co-star, Daniel Lissing, who came to “When Calls the Heart” after years of singing in bars and bistros around Sydney, in addition to his acting and writing pursuits. The lovely brunette is a vision for the camera and has recently done some fashion shoots that are more than apropos for the fast-coming fall. Erin is a nature lover and often shares the environment around her with her ever-growing group of social media followers. She showed off the fall foliage of area trees to her fans, but she didn't leave it at that.

She added words of her own to capture her mood on Instagram for October 14—one that still echoed a yearning for spring.

All the cast of “When Calls the Heart” have been feverishly busy wrapping up the filming for Season 6, set to debut in early 2019, but the pace doesn’t keep Erin Kraków from having fun with her new, handsome castmates.

She created some playful moments, in movement, to delight her followers and they will surely be treasured on outtake reels.

Restless for change

“I'm as restless as a willow in a windstorm. I'm as jumpy as puppet on a string. I'd say that I had a spring fever. But I know it isn't spring.”, posted Erin Krakow quoting the song “It Might as Well be Spring” by Rogers & Hammerstein.

With many of her family and friends in Florida, where the climate keeps in the toasty range, the adjustment to the swift change of seasons is understandable.

The end of the week may feel as warm as a family reunion for Erin Kraków. The long-anticipated convention for devoted “When Calls the Heart” fans will run from October 19-21 in Vancouver, BC, and as many as 300 fans are expected to meet and mingle with the cast and crew. The convention, known as HFR4, allowed hopefuls a full week of opportunity to enter for tickets, so many Hearties dreams are sure to come true.

The coming season will hold momentous changes for Elizabeth Thornton, too, as motherhood and newcomers to Hope Valley fill her life.

The leading lady, like her character, never loses her zest for life or her readiness to have some fun.

It started with high-fives

The latest playful post from Erin Kraków on October 13 notes the recommendation of the American Dental Association for prescribed dental flossing, which the star transposes into a video snippet of herself and Kevin McGarry, who portrays Mountie Nathan Grant, giving their best rendition of a “floss dance,” with Krakow making a dash toward the camera at the close. It's one thing for rappers and performers like Miley Cyrus to pull off these performances on big stages, but the feat is more of a challenge in full period costumes.

The movement bug may have hit Erin a two days ago, when she posted a delightful take of herself and her other handsome co-star, Chris McNally, who portrays saloon owner Lucas Bouchard, captured in a delightful loop of doing high-fives, and their smiles say everything.

Erin Krakow has already found chemistry with her new castmates, and “When Calls the Heart” will hold delights for fans through all of Season 6 and far beyond.
