Lisa Rinna and her co-star, Kyle Richards, appeared on an episode of "The Ellen Degeneres Show" this week and during their time on the daytime talk program, they opened up about the upcoming ninth season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." They also spoke about the potential drama between cast members, which reportedly stems around tension with the show's unofficial star Lisa Vanderpump.
Although Rinna and Richards are contractually restricted from revealing specific details about what will be seen on the upcoming episodes, they teased the drama with three words, including "hot," "dramatic," and "deceitful." "Oh, [Kyle] said the 'D' word," Rinna gasps.
"She went right there," Rinna added. As fans have heard in recent weeks, Lisa Vanderpump has been accused of being involved in a feud with Dorit Kemsley, who adopted a dog from Vanderpump Dogs that later ended up at an animal shelter.
Lisa Vanderpump refused to participate in a cast shoot
Vanderpump was also accused of sequestering herself in her dressing room during what was supposed to be a cast photo shoot earlier this month. Lisa Rinna called a cast member out for doing that very thing and days later, Erika Girardi confirmed Vanderpump was the culprit during an appearance on the E! Network's "The Daily Pop."
“[Lisa Vanderpump]’s really got you going to those restaurants. She’s really pushing those bars and restaurants,” Corey from "The Ellen Degeneres Show" pointed out.
In response, Rinna said her longtime co-star had to fill up her places, and that was the only way to do it. “Well, it’s the truth, the restaurant business is hard honey, she’s lucky,” she explained.
Kyle Richards is keeping in touch with Kathryn Edwards
Also during their interview on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" this week, Richards and Rinna revealed which former cast member of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" they have remained in contact with and one of those women was Kathryn Edwards.
As fans of the series will recall, Edwards was brought to the show for season six after both Brandi Glanville and Kim Richards exited but did not return to the show for the series' seventh season the following year. Instead, Bravo TV brought Dorit Kemsley to the cast.
Lisa Rinna, Kyle Richards, and their co-stars are expected to return to Bravo TV later this year for the ninth season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills." A premiere date has not yet been set.
