"Teen Mom 2" cast member Jo Rivera married fiancee Vee Torres on Sunday, September 23 in Bloomfield, New Jersey surrounded by a number of family members and friends, including Rivera's former girlfriend, Kailyn Lowry, and her rumored girlfriend, Becky Hayter. According to a report shared by The Ashley's Reality Roundup later that day, the couple had a big group to celebrate with but, when it came to the MTV cameras, there were none. So, while fans may be hoping to see the couple's nuptials on the upcoming ninth season of "Teen Mom 2," that simply isn't going to happen.
Rivera and Torres became engaged in April 2016 and share one daughter together, Vivi, who turns three years old on October 4. Rivera is also dad to an older son, eight-year-old Isaac, who he shares with Lowry. As fans well know, Lowry has three children, including four-year-old Lincoln, who she shares with ex-husband Javi Marroquin, and one-year-old Lux Russell, whose father is her former boyfriend Chris Lopez.
While Kailyn Lowry has dated quite actively since her split from Rivera many years ago, she has not confirmed any new romances as of late. That said, fans will soon get to see more of what is happening in her personal life as she's continuing to film the ninth season of "Teen Mom 2."
Throughout Jo Rivera and Vee Torres' ceremony and reception, Lowry, Hayter, and others shared tons of photos of the happy couple on their Instagram pages.
In one photo, Rivera was seen posing with Lowry and their son, Isaac, who appeared to be thrilled to be a part of the exciting event.
Why wasn't the wedding filmed for 'Teen Mom 2?'
Although a number of cast members, including Leah Messer and Jenelle Evans, have gotten married with their productions crews in tow, Vee Torres made it clear she was not open to doing so after being asked about her filming plans by a fan on Twitter.
“I don’t want it documented lol,” she told the follower on social media last year. “That’s why I said no. It’ll be between family and friends how we want it.”
Jo Rivera and Vee Torres recently quit 'Teen Mom 2'
Following an announcement about their exit several months ago, a source confirmed to The Ashley's Reality Roundup that both Rivera and Torres would be returning to the MTV reality show.
“They renegotiated both of their contracts,” the source explained. “The producers had to reassure Jo that there would be no more violence on the show or around his kids. He was very upset after [the Reunion] and the producers spoke at length with him to try to make it right.”
"Teen Mom 2" season nine is expected to return to MTV later this year or early next year.
