With LaVar unhappy with some of the players in the JBA, he gets them released and he adds new players to JBA rosters. With the baby set to arrive in less than a week, Denise and Zo spend time together and Gelo makes his JBA debut which brings quite a turnout.
Next steps for the JBA
With the first half of the JBA season over, teams have released and added new players in order to try and win a championship which also gets members of the championship team new cars which is a Cadillac ATS. Atlanta leads the league with a record of 4-0 and New York is in second with a 3-1 record.
Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston are all tied with a 2-2 record and Seattle, Dallas and Philadelphia all have a record of 1-3. Los Angeles cut three players and added four new ones which included Gelo. Since he didn't get drafted, Gelo decided to play in his father's JBA league and join his brother Melo on the Los Angeles Ballers.
As Gelo watched the Los Angeles Ballers practice, he said they looked like a hot mess and wanted to play on the team to help them. LaVar said that both the Ball brothers playing on the same team makes them unbeatable. With the JBA struggling to bring out a crowd, Gelo's JBA debut brought out the best turnout for a JBA game yet. Before the game, LaVar was seen taking pictures with fans who were all smiles for Gelo's JBA debut.
Gelo's JBA debut brought a few notable people to the game including actor Donovan Carter, Malik Jackson who's a defensive tackle on the Jaguars and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope who's one of Zo's teammates on the Lakers. Gelo and the Los Angeles Ballers did really well in Gelo's JBA debut as Los Angeles beat Philadelphia 171-140 and Gelo scored 53 points.
Almost here
Denise is five days away from her expected due date and Zo's surgery on his knee is the day before her due date which is less than a week away. Zo says he isn't nervous for his surgery but Denise says she's nervous for both Zo and about the upcoming due date. Denise asks Zo how they will introduce the baby to Zo's dog Deuce with Zo saying that they should put the baby on the floor and see if Deuce eats her with Denise screams in response "NO"!
With the baby and Zo's surgery coming soon, Denise got Zo a gift. Denise got Lakers merchandise with "Daddy's girl" on the back with Zo's #2 on the back as well. As she brought the gift in a wrapped gift bag, Deuce ended up eating the wrapping paper on the floor which had Zo saying that Deuce eats everything.
The path to full health
Back in March of 2017, Tina suffered a stroke which left her unable to walk without assistance. With LaVar on the road most of the time, he hasn't been able to help Tina with her recovery. Now that he's home with her, LaVar spends time with Tina to help her with her recovery. Tina is seen biking, lifting weights with LaVar's assistance and swimming in the pool at the "Ball estate".
LaVar encourages Tina to get out of the pool by herself which she struggles to do at first but ends up getting out of the water on her own.

After all the "Ball in the Family" episodes, a preview is shown about what's going to be in the next episode. For episode 17, which will air next Sunday on Facebook Watch, the big day has finally come as Denise is in the hospital giving birth to the baby.
