One of the new cast members of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Jennifer Aydin, has ties to former star Jacqueline Laurita. Following the release of the season nine trailer last week, Aydin posted a photo of herself on Instagram and in the comments section of the image, Laurita revealed that she was not only hoping to see Aydin join the cast, but actually pushed for her addition.

On September 27, All About the Real Housewives shared a report in which they included the unexpected comment from Laurita. "I pushed for you girl! So happy you made it," she wrote.

Bravo TV announced the official season nine cast last week and in addition to Aydin's role on the show, the series' returning stars, Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, and Danielle Staub, will be joined by another new cast member, Jacqueline Goldschneider.

Who is Jennifer Aydin?

Following the casting news reveal, Bravo TV shared a short bio regarding Jennifer Aydin, revealing the newest cast member of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" comes from a Turkish background and always puts her family first. The bio also revealed Aydin is happily married to a plastic surgeon, with whom she shares five children from the ages of 5-years-old to 13-years-old.

"As Jennifer's youngest child is about to enter school, Jennifer finds herself ready to break out of her traditional role as homemaker and [mom], challenging the roles she and her husband [Dr.

Bill Aydin] have subscribed to for their entire relationships," the bio explained. According to her description, Jennifer Aydin will be seen traveling to Turkey with several of her co-star to help arrange the marriage of her brother Michael to a family friend.

Upon landing in Turkey, Aydin is shocked by the backlash she faces from her new co-stars, who have a hard time accepting the idea of an arranged marriage.

Jennifer Aydin replaces former cast member Siggy Flicker

At the end of last year, following filming on the eighth season of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey," Siggy Flicker announced she was leaving the Bravo TV series after starring on the show for two seasons. As viewers of the series may recall, Flicker was tied to tons of controversy during her final season of the show and took offense when Margaret Josephs made a joke about Hitler.

"The Real Housewives of New Jersey" season nine is set to premiere on November 7 at 9 p.m. on Bravo TV.
