During Day 3 of San Diego Comic-Con, the director and cast of “Fantastic Beasts and the Crimes of Grindelwald” were there to talk about their upcoming sequel to 2016’s “Fantastic Beasts” movie. They confirmed that new characters will be introduced in the upcoming movie.

Also, the cast and director of "Aquaman” were at Comic-Con, as well. It is the next movie in DC’s extended universe, which follows 2017’s “Justice League.” It features Aquaman, king of the sea, who has the ability to talk to fish. They revealed some information about the highly anticipated film and revealed the first official trailer.

A passion project for young Dumbledore actor

Jude Law, who will play young Dumbledore in the movie, has always wanted to play this character. According to The Los Angeles Times, he stated that “he has been waiting to play this character for 10 years.” This was a role of a lifetime for him, and he will be seen in the upcoming film.

Katherine Waterston, Laws co-star, has stated that “that’s dedication,” according to The Los Angeles Times. She acknowledges his persistence to perfect the character in order to please fans.

Actor makes a surprise appearance at Comic-Con

Johnny Depp, who plays Grindelwald in the upcoming “Fantastic Beasts” sequel, made a shocking appearance during the panel for the movie, and went in character in full makeup.

His character will be seen, in full, when the movie comes out, later this year.

'Aquaman' trailer revealed an underwater city

The “Aquaman” trailer was shown at Comic-Con, and in it, we got a glimpse of Amber Heard’s character, as well as what could be the main villain of the movie. There also seems to an underwater Atlantis, where Aquaman lives.

It also may have revealed a war against humans.

According to USA Today, James Momoa, who plays Aquaman, referring to the time he was cast as the hero, stated that “The first thing I did when I landed was I bought a pair of goggles, a kickboard, and went down to the hotel pool and was like, 'I gotta get ready! I gotta get ready!’ … And then I never had to swim." After being cast as Aquaman, Momoa was stoked and did whatever he could to prepare for the role.

He went above and beyond to get the character right, in order to please comic book fans around the world.

The highly anticipated “Aquaman” is slated to be released everywhere, December 21, 2018, in time for the Christmas season. “Fantastic Beasts and the Crime of Grindelwald” will be released everywhere, November 18, 2018.
