Last week on "The Bachelorette" Colton Underwood shared that he dated Tia Booth before joining the show. Becca K and Tia Booth are actually friends and she wasn't sure how she felt about this information. People is now sharing that Tia is setting the record straight about her relationship with Colton and how serious it was when they were together.
Tia shows up
Tia Booth is actually going to show up tonight on the new episode of "The Bachelorette". Becca has a few of her old friends on the show. It should be pretty interesting to have Tia on a group date and watch how it all goes down.
This will give Becca K the chance to decide how she feels about Colton dating her friend and if she wants to keep him around on the show. Tia and Becca stayed really close friends after being on "The Bachelor" together.
Tia shares details
Tia Booth actually talked to People and shared a few details. She says, "We started talking before my season started airing. Colton was in the casting process for The Bachelorette, and he followed me on Instagram." Tia explains that she actually slid into his DMs first and then he replied to her. Not long after that, he explained that he was trying to get cast on the show.
They didn't know if Colton Underwood would be on the show or not so they just kept talking to see how it went down.
They did go on a date and then not long after he found out he was going on the show. Tia explained that as soon as he found this out, they stopped things. There was no reason for them to continue a relationship of any kind. She wanted him to have his chance to go on the show and see what ended up happening.
Tia and Colton were never a couple.
She explained she even tried to tell Becca about it at "After the Final Rose" but was just never able to tell her. Hopefully, this all works out in the end. It doesn't sound like Tia is coming back to try to get her man or anything crazy like that. She is just there to support her friend, but with Colton being there things are not going to be as easy as originally planned.
Reality Steve is already teasing that he could see Colton Underwood and Tia Booth ending up on the next season of "Bachelor in Paradise" together. It will be interesting to see how it plays out if that is what ends up happening. Tia does think everything happens for a reason. That could be what is meant to happen for them.
