"Game of Thrones" fans know that Kit Harington, who acts as Jon Snow, and Rose Leslie (Ygritte) have been a couple for a few years now. They mostly kept their relationship quiet, but there was no hiding their wedding in Scotland this weekend.

CNN reported that "Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams and Peter Dinklage" who also act in "Game of Thrones" were part of the wedding guest list. People noted that they were married at "Kirkton of Rayne church in Scotland."

The romantic setting was surely worthy of our heroes from the ancient world of "A Song of Ice and Fire," as their wedding reception was held in the Wardhill castle.

The castle belongs to Rose Leslie's side of the family, according to People.

Leslie was beautiful in her white wedding dress

People published photos of the couple on their big day. Leslie was wearing a beautiful white dress with lace and a long veil. The dress was belted at the waist. She had a garland of flowers on her head and topped it off with a bunch of flowers she was carrying. She looked fresh and exhilarated.

Kit Harington was smart and looked charming

Kit Harington was very smart in his back jacket. He had on a black tie, a white shirt, and charcoal striped trousers. It was set off with a cream vest and a white handkerchief in his jacket pocket. There were huge grins and smiles from everyone as they made their dash through the confetti.

It was all very Scottish and there were some kilts in the crowd. People noted that they had formally announced their official engagement in The Times in November 2017. This is something that is seen as old-fashioned by some people today but is not uncommon amongst the people of England and Scotland.

Kit told the UK's "Jonathan Ross Show" back in October that he had planned a very romantic proposal, but a time came which just seemed perfect under the stars and he popped the question early.

Hopefully, the couple will stay happy in love and have a wonderful life.

The couple made their relationship public in 2016

Rumors of their relationship began back in 2012 as their onscreen characters were love interests. Their fictional love became a reality and CNN reminds us, "they went public as a couple in 2016 on the red carpet at the Olivier Awards in London."

They became attracted to each other while shooting for season 2 in Iceland.

Leslie (Ygritte) and Kit (Jon) in the "Game of Thrones" show did not end up in a long-term relationship. It seems that the real-life version of Jon is definitely better at handling love interests than the show version of his character.
